BOS Bill of Sales........Opinions.

Had a guy new to the trader wanting to trade with me but said he wanted to do a Bill of Sale. I don't know but I don't like the paper trail I leave when bought from LGS let alone another trader. Any opinions on why to do or not to do? That is the question!

If someone wants to do a BoS they get a scribbled signature and nothing more. If that doesn't suffice **** it, I'll get it someplace else

I can deal with doing a limited information BOS as long as it is disclosed from the beginning. I won't do one if someone springs it on me when we meet to close the deal.

I have done 1 bill of sale, and it only included my name and city of residence, and it was for a pistol that I really really wanted at the time.

A BOS in GA carries no value aside from the seller's belief that it will somehow protect them. I see no reason to participate in unwarranted record keeping in a state that has no registration.

This. There are varying degrees of BOS's. I've done a couple where I just sign a name. I'm getting to the point that I won't even do that though. I won't give personal information. For that reason, I'm voting "never". The BOS's I've done are useless to anyone
