Browning Invector BPS “1980’s” value

"Special steel" isn't so special. It is a literal translation of the French term for carbon steel, that FN started using on Browning guns to show that the barrel wasn't Damascus or twist steel. A similar situation exists with the
Win. Model 12, where early guns were marked "nickle steel" . Not being critical, but it's not a selling point.

What is a selling point is that the BPS is like an Ithaca Model 37, with bottom ejection, making it suitable for both left and right handed shooters.

"pitting and rust around the action. I’ll post pictures later on but I’d estimate the condition at 88-90%"

This rust will take it to about 70% at best. It was already at 90% when the box was discarded and the gun was shot.

No box and being fired doesn’t denigrate the value of anything by 10%. Fact

Was this fact checked out by SNOPES, or was it just posted on the internet?

Then buy any firearm BNIB, throw away the box and shoot it then bring it back to the store of purchase and see what they will give you for it.:thumb:
