Calling all E-cig / "Vapers" .... what do you vape??

My buddy is trying to get me to get something like the stingray mod. What's the differance between the two? And I was about to post another question regarding mods anyway: From what I gather, mods like the stingray run at a much high wattage than the vamo's 15w max. Now I've tried the vamo at its 15w max, and it tasted like it might burnt the juice. And sort of like the heat at 15w was already way to much for me as it just felt very hot and made even tryin to inhale impossible. Now my common sense tells me I won't be able to take the heat from a mod like a stingray or such, but I've seen a few things online that say using a mod like that and an RTA/RDA was a completly different cape experience and the heat from higher wattage didn't bother them, do to the better flavor. And I want better flavor. So what's the differances in you guys Experiances? All I know is I made it wensday night to late Friday evening without a dip with vaping. I dropped my stuff Friday night and shattered the tank to late in the night to do anything about it. I ended buyin a can of dip, had one pinch out of it and immediately hated it. The same stuff I've used for 4 years Tasted horrible, and I couldn't stand the way my mouth felt after 10 minutes of it. I want to get this vape thing figured out for myself without spending a ton of cash and I absolutly don't want to go back to dipping. Ever again.
What type of coils are you using? I found the sweet spot with the protanks to be around 4.2v. I didn't mess with watts.

The Stingray is a mech mod, the Provari is a VV mod. With the stingray, you adjust the power by building coils at different ohms. With the Provari, you just change the amount of voltage. Mech mods are used when people want big hits or big clouds. The wattage is higher, correct, so they're putting more power through the coil. Let's go to the science

On a mech mod, you don't control the amount of power coming form the battery, it's 4.2 volts. If you build a 1 ohm coil (that's pretty high for most people running mechs) you're getting 17.62 watts which is a decent hit. I build my mech coils at ~.35 so I'm vaping at ~50 watts but I'm going for big clouds and big hits. With the Provari, you can adjust the amount of volts up to 6 volts. ProVape recommends either a cartomize at roughly 2 ohms or building a coil at 2.5-3. at 6 volts, that's anywhere from 18 watts on a 2 ohm cart to 12watts on a 3 ohm coil. If you're using a tank, this is a nice cool vape. You can also adjust down if you don't want 18 watts. 5 volts is 12.5 watts at 2 ohms.

If you run a tank, the ProVari is the way to go. If you drip, you basically need a mech to get enough power to get big hits. But, drip tops typically bring in a ton of air to cool the coil down.

It's a kanger genitank mega, and a aerotank mega too after shattering the glass on the geni. Both are using kanger dual coils at 1.8 ohms.

I watched a few videos on VV/VW devices and all of them said with a VV/VW, when using the VW feature, the device will auto pilot the VV to whatever coil on it. So I been using it that way. I tried with using only the VV as well and still had the same issues trying to inhale. So I put it back in The VW "auto pilot" .

.

I dot really care about big hits or clouds, I'd like big flavor though.

The drip tops bringing air in is why I've been told even though it is hotter, is doesn't seem like it. Sound right? Or am I misunderstanding?

The coil gets hotter but the massive air flow cools it down before you taste it.

I've also gathered a single coil tank is much different than what I'm using, so I was thinking of picking up some cheap as possible, but still decent to see if that's my ticket too. Good idea?

You could do a Kayfun or Russian 91 with a single coil and still get great flavor. Kayfuns are known for their flavor.

Love my Kay fun, but a Kay fun provides a pretty warm vape. I run mine at about .5 ohm so it is borderline hot. I've burnt my lip a time or two.

I don't ever run my Kayfun that low, I think .8 is as low as I've ever built it. Anymore I don't get the air flow I'm used to when moving from a dripper.
