Camp desert.....Yep good!

Can't go to the woods to hunt, just thought about making this,,Simple,quick and tasty! I love making meals in a dutch oven when hunting...It has been many years since I made this and it is simple to make..3 Cup Cobbler'
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 can Comstock apple pie filling
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 stick butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Cinnamon
Directions
Mix flour, sugar, milk, nutmeg, and vanilla extract into a thin batter.
Coat sides and bottom with the stick of butter
Pour mixture in coated pan, drop spoonfulls of filling the mixture, top with a light coat of cinnamon powder
shake the Brown sugar on top...Cook at 350 for 45 min to 1hr and check...The best way to check is push down on the crust..If it does not seem firm leave in for 15 minutes more...I have found using different containers to cook in based on depth will vary cooking time.

Thanks to all for the nice comments...I need to get back to cooking more, since I have the time now..May all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Oh and don't make promises you can't keep, about not eating to much, you know you will!!..I will be making a crock pot thanksgiving meal..Stay safe!
