Wife makes them with self rising flour and buttermilk. Cuts them out with a tervis cup and bakes them in her Grandmothers cast iron skillet that’s close to 100yo. View attachment 9687214

I've only heard of cat head referring to biscuits also.
And as long as it was hard fried, I eat any fish biscuit! Some of the ones on this thread sho makes me hungry.

Cathead just means a BIG biscuit too me. Never heard it called....catfish head.

2 cups self rising flour. 1 stick of frozen unsalted butter. 1 cup of cold buttermilk.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. bake for 15 to 18 minutes
