Carrying Across State Lines

Let's say I wanna take a nice fishing trip just outside of St. Augustine, FL! What are the laws about carrying a handgun (e.g., .357 magnum) from Georgia to Florida? I like to take a handgun with me when I take long driving trips. One never knows what might happen. I have a Georgia CCW permit. Any insights?

The Georgia Firearms License is recognized in Florida. Read the Florida carry laws as you have to abide by their rules. I don't know if anything's changed, but I believe Florida has a concealment requirement. An unlicensed individual has more restrictions on having a loaded firearm in Florida, but they are a "castle doctrine" state.
