Carrying in your own home. Another reason why I do

Heard about this...sad. His son was a Douglas county deputy I read...stabbed 18 times? Like someone else stated, that sounds like someone was really angry for some reason....

Just spoke to my mother who knows them as well. She said that he was in the kitchen cooking turnip greens. He didn't show up to work on Wednesday so the Deputy son called and didn't get an answer. He decided to ride by there since it was only him at home. He said when he arrived, there was blood all over the house from an apparent struggle and that the stove was still on and that the water hadn't boiled out of the pot yet.

From the sound of it, it could have been a home invasion, the perp didn't expect anyone home, found Jerry inside and they struggled. The perp managed to over take him and then wrap him in a blanket, not sure why, and then the son showed up and maybe the perp fled out the back. Just an idea.

I'm rarely wearing it, but my (wife's) little LCR follows me everywhere. It's like a puppy. I can't even take a dump without it coming along.

Oh yeah, and for the record... having something stashed in every drawer in the house is no better than wearing one... actually, it's probably worse

If my pants are on, my gun is on, what's the use of having thousands of dollars worth of firearms if you don't have one with you. I've spent hundreds on comfortable holsters, and if I don't have a gun on my hip it is because I am asleep, and believe me there is one within reach. The front door is there for their protection, not mine.......
