CCI .22 CB SHORT at Walmart in Monroe

Not all shorts are quiet. They make high velocity shorts that are supersonic out of certain longer barreled handguns or rifle barrels. 1,100 f.p.s.

But the "CB" designation means low-powered. 720 f.p.s. or something like that. Way below Mach 1, and quiet in any rifle or carbine. Not exactly "quiet" in a short revolver, but quietER than other kinds of ammo.

I shoot them from my lever tube guns in 22 short

they also work in most tube fed rifles as well, but you gotta pull the bolt back each time to make the brass come out and chamber another round (could be used as make-shift bolt action 22 to teach a new shooter)
