I've got a 90 degree boot touching the header and it is right at the corner of the boot.
I don't think that a straight boot would help much.

Should I go with ceramic plug boots or short plugs (1/4 to 3/8 shorter) or both?

As it is, I don't think the protective sleeves would help as it is touching.

Your thoughts?

Chevy 350, just one cylinder is touching ,but the others are close.

The greasy spot is dielectric grease that started life inside the boot.
I'm thinking the ceramic plug boot should work. There is a very slight air gap after all when it is oriented right.
