Wasn't there a few companies making ..50BMG uppers for AR lowers for like $1500? BOHICA Arms comes to mind.

*Edit, quick google search shows the ATF ruled that bolt action uppers for the AR were considered firearms themselves without a lower. Weird.

Hesse (or volcum arms?) were making 'budget' .50 cal rifles, but there was a defect that would send the bolt through the shooter's shoulder..

Budget + .50bmg is something I wouldn't combine.
