My knowledge is limited,so maybe someone can answer this. Were early repeating firearms mainly clip fed and magazine fed firearms came later?

Magazine fed firearms came first,clip fed later. Thanks google

order then= muzzle-breach-tube-clip-mag

Tube fed. Example winchester 94 , ithaca pump shotgun,
mag fed= AR 15, glock pistol
clip fed = m1 garand

The tube"magazine" such as the Spencer rifle. I did not say detachable in the order. Just google it,I'm no expert.

I left out gravity fed as well. Gatlin gun not sure if it was called a mag a clip or what. Looks like a mag but has no spring.

Make sure you get some night sights mounted to the side of your slide too. That way, depending on mood, you can practice firing your weapon with proper form or go single hand, turn it 90 degrees, and shoot gangsta style.
