Let's see those 1903 colts

not mine but my brothers. He was gifted these by a WW2 vet. J. Satterfield. Was a metalsmith on the Battleship North Carolina. After the war he went into LE then became a revenue officer around central and south west Ga. The right one that's pitted was carried in his boot. It also killed a man but his story was the man shot at him first...
Jimmy was a super guy and very interesting to listen to. Had a really nice collection of 1st gen Peacemakers.

My 1st variant next to my 5th variant. Still shoot both all the time.

Left one is a 5th variant 1928 with 3.75” barrel

Right one is 1st variant 1905 with wrong “Sile” brand grips. Note the 4” barrel and longer slide. Wish they could talk.

Have always hoped to find a set of 1st gen grips but so far no luck. May just get some repro’s.
