It'll start happening shortly after/before they ban guns like they have in Cali, and they've got enough of an ego boost from the peasants officially being disarmed.
I mean, seriously, couldn't they be polite enough to keep it holstered until they have reason to worry? Do they really feel the need bloat their egos by shoving a rifle in someone's face? That isn't a prison transport, it's a random citizen unlucky enough to be around. Yet they're power tripping with a "make a move and I'll blow your head off."
