on a lighter side....first of the season tomatoes....will be having them for dinner tonight!!!
I was hitting some cut up sausage in the skillet for my lunch tomorrow and decided to boil up some okra for my side with a little tomato chicken broth for the seasoning.
Well, I had some leftover ham that I thought would go well in the pot with the okra, then I thought well, why not throw in the sausage also?
Then I had a leftover tomato...so that went in, then I thought, this would be great over some rice...and then the rice could be a little side/filler for later on...so I have my rice cooker going now...
Sampling it, it's freaking good. So I guess I'll write down some notes and pocket this so I can make it again...
Ever start out making one thing and it morphs into something completely different by the time you're done? Or just me? Granted this is just soup/stew/gumbo, but I've had other dinners come out completely different than what I intended lol
