Daily Dinner thread?

Haven't posted lately so here's some recent cooks...

Short ribs from Briarpatch Farms in Eatonton. Awesome folks there. Give em your business!

The 2 calves were abandoned by their mothers so they have to be bottle fed. Had a great time being shown around the farm.

I got 35lbs of beef short ribs for $5/lb. He's out right now but he said he should have some more soon.

Not sure who can appreciate this or even knows what it is, but i made homemade ochazuke tonight with pickled plums for the sour and salty, seared marinated tuna for the savory. Broth was green tea with some soy sauce based broth added in for some umami. Crushed rice crackers for the crunch.

More labor intensive than I was figuring but I ain't mad at it.

I like to eat and I don't trust my wife's cooking...actually she doesn't cook unless it comes out of a box or a can. I'm not complaining, I prefer it this way lol. But I've gotten pretty good at this cooking thing lmao!

It helps that I'm home from work before 3pm...
 
I've gotten to the point where I cook for ME. I just make enough for everybody. If I try and cook for THEM, I usually wind up not liking what I made. If that makes sense lol...
I've noticed I even cook more than I did since we moved. Larger kitchen. I enjoy your pics, good enough to eat
