Dawson Forest nuclear reactor site.

Im about 20 min from there, and yes it is a strange place, I worked with a boy from Dawsonville that has been in two of the underground tunnels and was showing us pics he would take while he was in there.
What I hear is as soon as word gets out about a hole being uncovered they come along and dump more dirt on it.
The old guy I use to get jeep parts from around there, told me about the sky being red at night after they would raise the reactor.
The place is just got a strange feel about it , even if you didnt know its past.
Very very quiet in a odd way.
If you know where the outlet mall is on 400 than you turn left as soon as you get to the mall and stright on from there.
One tunnel was under the parking lot as soon as you get in there. caution there are rangers in there keeping watch on things from time to time.
Yeah About eighteen years ago I got pulled out of my truck wheelin in there, escorted out, put back in my truck and told to leave. Always made me wonder if something still goin on in there. Its amazing how many people don't know its there. You wanna check out a good one go to Salem Cemetery in the middle of Dawson Forest at midnight

A hunting buddy told me about it when we were hunting The Atlanta Tract of Dawson Forest. As near as I can figure we were across the river from the fenced -off area. I did bring my radiation detector on the next hunt, but nothing was detected. It's my understanding they had a structure that a tractor-trailer could drive into and go underground. Have you heard about the City of Atlanta's site for a new lake to help supply water to Hotlanta?:attention:

Our company was on a privately funded team looking at purchasing 10,000 acres of the "Forest" to build a reservoir to sell raw and/or treated water to local municipalities. The land not flooded for the reservoir was going to be developed as a residential property. They had $660 million committed for the entire project, but the City of Atlanta wouldn't sell. Reservoir studies were done several years ago and the property is a good candidate. Dealing with the Corps of Engineers for a 404 permit is a whole different challenge. So keep on hunting it's at least 10 years out.
