This is probably an old topic, but this should be against site rules. It doesn't make any sense that you label your own listing as a deal.

I think it's a silly thing to do, but why should it be against the rules?

It make less sense that we should make rules against posting stupid adds. If you don't like it, don't look at it.
I don't like car dealer ads with a guy screaming and beating on the hood of a car, but I don't want to ban them. Probably won't buy a car from them though.
Yea...a company labeling their own product or service as a deal has been a marketing technique for ages now. It works well on some and not so well on others. But nonetheless people should be able to use whatever "marketing technique" on here that they won't provided it's ethical, legal, appropriate, etc.
I would love to see the rules amended to allow other users to make comments regarding price in any self labeled "deals of the whatever"....
I just consider it a red flag for "this is in no way shape or form a deal" and move on without looking
Agreed. If OP says it is a deal, generally overpriced.
