I'm actually surprised that elitists in the republican party like Gov Deal haven't completely advocated gun control.
To be frank, the elitists will always be in favor of these types of liberty restricting laws, simply because they are always placed above the law themselves.
Any elite in their right mind would be all in favor of taking weapons out of the hands of dangerous and unpredictable peasants.

It doesn't matter whether they're republican or democrats. It's just a title to them. They're all members of the "big-government" elite party.

^^^This^^^. They are never bound to the same laws as civilians. I wish there was a way to go back to when they had to work and be a leader. They have lost touch with what it's like to have to earn everything you have. The extended terms, voting your own salary, and a retirement package of almost %100 of your salary makes it a dream job. Not to mention that you no longer have to worry about the way laws will affect your everyday life like %90 of America. I'm at a point where I wish our economy would collapse forcing those people with all of the power back into reality (really forcing most of America back into what it really means to live and be alive).
