Lonnie Bright ?used to go myself ( your right paved wasn’t as fun) who was the guy in the late 80’s that drove the orange Camaro.. I believe the number was L 7.. was it Lonnie something.. either way he was a dang good dirt track driver

Sounds like any ole’ normal weekend at my house !!The last dirt track race I watched I think was in Chattanooga. It was great, rebel flag flying alongside ol glory, Granny's spitting tobacco juice, kids all of the place. Just Wow !

Last time I seen him was right before Douglasville closed down. He was racing in a truck that night.
We use to park on the fence at Douglasville. I had a white Monte Carlo. It was more cinnamon color when we leftMy Grandmother lived real close to Rome International Speedway. We used to go there lots of times on Sunday night, folks like Leon "Slick" Sells from Duluth area, Wilson Shell from Acworth, Mackey Moates, An Archer guy I can't remember and a lot more Leon was a late class driver big boys and was inducted in the Hall Of Fame I believe, I read read where he died a few years back. Great times back then and Rome was Dirt Track, you had red dirt on you when you got home.
