Disposing of Gunpowder from Bullet Pulling

I just bought some older ammo from a member here (great guy, smooth transaction - just wish it wasn't pouring rain so I could get to know him a little better! ) Some of it I will use to break in my newest rifle...the other stuff may well get disassembled as I am not sure what it is exactly.

My question is this: What is the proper way to dispose of the gunpowder from the old ammo? Not really looking for a lot of smart answers, just wondering what the proper way to safely dispose of it would be.

That's an interesting thought...I have a area in the back yard that could use some fertilizer.

I'm curious why you would take apart a round, unless it wasn't seated right or something?

You can flush it too.

Beware if you do burn it, make sure you have plenty of clearance above
and around it. It grows!

Looks like the consensus is to burn it. Looks like I will be having some fun.

The reason I would consider taking apart some of the rounds is that I am concerned with the age of the ammo. I'd hate to get a bad round that would screw up the most expensive gun in my safe.
