DIY under $2 kydex knife sheath upgrade

I bumped into Tacticaldave at TruPrep and he had an ingenious upgrade on his knife sheath to carry a ferro rod (fire starter). At Home Depot for under $2 you can get a bag of 3/8" cable clamps and put em on your sheath between your tek lock and kydex with the Chicago screws the hold on the tek lock. I got the wrong size last night and put it together today. I'm using a hair tie as a lanyard and that locks it in place

Talk about the old bait and switch; I feel used, but we'll spot you some credit due to your advanced years...


I like the rectangular one for a necker, but both are nice!
