I just don't see the big deal about an 18th birthday. At 15 you get your learners license. At 16 you get your drivers license. I graduated at 17. You get to vote at 18 and die for your country, but you still cannot legally drink until 21. Also most kids are still living with Mom and Dad at 18, you don't even have your own place!!

Today. Some of us have been around a little while.
For example, Louisiana didn't phase in the 21 drinking age until 1987 after folding to the highway funds bribe from the feds. So at 18, you were gtg.
Many places you can still buy a long gun at 18. I remember voting at 18. I was officially an adult! I wish they'd change the age to about 35 now.
