I've gifted our old mail carrier but she retired two years ago after many years as our carrier.

Yeah I tip mine. We order a lot of packages, and she makes sure to put them to the side behind bushes if I'm not at home. Plus she's nice and 10x more reliable than useless fedex who couldn't even deliver a package to their own facility...
