Good afternoon fellow traders. I'm thinking about trying my hand at deer hunting and I want to use a Ruger mini 14. Why a mini 14 you may ask yourself, Because I own it and don't want spend money unnecessarily. What say you?

Use a hollow point in a heavy projectile. I use 77gr HP boattail matchking. Do NOT use fmj as suggested earlier.

I plan on taking my AR some after I get one with the bow. It's all about waiting for a good shot and shot placement, but that should be the same for any caliber.

They make a 62. And IME steel cased ammo is nit consistently accurate.
