Does anyone collect old rods/reels

I know nothing about fishing but picked up some old rods and reels yesterday at a yard sale. Are they worth cleaning up or anything or do they need to go to the dump?

So that’s what is says. Both the black ones must be Michell reels. One is a 304

I believe they are all Mitchell including the newer version.

I think the “newer” one is a Daiwa 402. Just because it says so on it. The black ones are more what I was curious about, all it says that I can read is “made in France” on one side

If the equipment still works well, you have something collectable. But I wouldn't think worth a lot of money

Plenty of guys that would be interested in the Mitchells, I know several guys who still fish them regularly. They don't bring a ton of money though. If you look at sold items on ebay for Mitchell 304's over the last month there's probably 50 sold at an average of $15-20.
