Does anyone collect old US paper currency?

Thanks. I went through a coin collecting phase when I was a kid and bought it then. I ran across it the other day hiding in a drawer. As suggested I'll have to look into getting it graded and then maybe trying to sell it.
I have been collecting a while and had several notes graded. It’s a gamble on getting that one graded. That’s not a very rare note. While it is in really nice shape, it is not very centered. By the time you pay for a membership, the grading fee, and shipping, you will likely have been better off selling it not graded. It will probably cost you around $75 to have it graded. Th at note can go anywhere from $80-$120 if it grades a 40.

Cool stuff. My wife's family collected all currency when it was face value. Her uncles and her Mom inherited what was left. I guess we'll get some at some point. I've always liked collecting. Of what I know might be left, we're only talking a couple hundred dollars worth at today's prices

The most wanted dollar bill is the Barr dollar bill, Joseph Barr was only secretary of treasury for only 28 days so they are very few with his signature his term was from December 21 , 1968 through January 20, 1969
I am blessed to have 2 of them
