Educate me on rotary tumbling with steel pins please

Where did you get your screening material

I need something strong to stand up to weight of the full cement mixer full of pings and brass

I used just some fiberglass screen material, and then some plastic lattice....I'll snap a pic here in a bit to show you.

I am still learning and too lazy/unskilled to build a tumbler myself so I bought one from BigDawg tumblers as mentioned above. It processes 10 or so pounds of brass at a time.

So far I just follow the instructions from the site. A little dawn and lemi-shine and hot water and 4 hours later it comes out looking great

yeah, once I start doing rifle brass I will go that route....for now I am just doing pistol and I am not worried about it.

simple, uses 5 gallon bucket and gamma seal lids off ebay. rollerblade wheels off ebay as well. motor shaft runs against wheel, wheel turns bucket and hold ALOT of brass.

What motor did you use? Did it come wired? This looks like something I can do.

There is a pic of my drying rack. I get as many of the pins out as I can before putting it on the drying rack.

The motor I used is a 1/3 horse from HD supply, it was $80.

Did you guys hook up a variable speed switch or just an on and off.

Mine is just hard wired to a plug, plug it in and it comes on, unplug and it goes off. In order to assist the rotational rate with mine I can change pulley sizes.

the motor I got is extreme overkill, but I guess I could load 20# of stainless and a crap ton of brass and she'd keep truckin

I got/run 10# of stainless pins from a guy used in vegas

pro how did you find a motor where the shaft fit perfectly in the wheel? Or did you do something else?
