OK guys been looking at this thread and these knives,in a few weeks i will be camping in Cades Cove for a couple weeks,and will be at Smokey Mountain Knife Works,give me some advice about which one would make a good all round camp knife.....

Check out the Laser Strike.
It is a modern twist on a Kephart. Has the most comfortable handle out of the box, and a ferrocium rod in the handle for emergencies.

I like the 4 as a light, but sturdy camp knife. Mine came with TKC scales, which rock!

The 6 is the ticket if you prefer beating your knife with a stick to split firewood, chopping down trees and hunting bears with a spear.


The 5 is a badass SHTF survival knife. A bit heavy for backpacking, but great for hunting bears and helicopters if you don't have a spear.

And both the 4s came in today from Amazon. Wrong color and wrong sheaths. I'm pissed. Return with no replacement.

Be careful ordering from Amazon and Ebay. Lots of fakes on those sites.
