Father shoots 17 year old daughters BF in her bed. She told dad she didn't know him.

Good points. I suppose I should be more like you and accept what the media writes.... I just cant trust the same people that praise obama for some reason. Its a sleepin with the enemy type feeling for me. Either way... you cant shoot people because they moved lol.

This entire discussion has clearly been based on the report and any discussion of the accuracy of the report is a completely different discussion. BTW, yes you can shoot someone for moving in certain circumstances. Let's say there is a man that enters your home in the middle of the night without permission. You confront him as he is creeping down the hallway and tell him "Don't move". He keeps moving anyway. Shoot or no shoot? The resounding answer to that is, Shoot. You will hear that from pretty much every firearms instructor in the world, including LE instructors.

The apparent INABILITY of some to be realistically empathetic, and presumably just for the sake of arguing, is truly bizarre. (Either that or they've spent a lot of time sneaking into skank's bedrooms).
This thread has just reached a level of crazy that is mind boggling. Y'all have a good night.

The same thought crossed my mind. I'm done with this thread, too.

That moment you realize your daughter is a whore can be alot on a fellar.

Ol girl knew the guy. And deep down the shooter knew it.

I would hardly classify the young girl as a whore and, although he is likely disappointed in her poor judgement, I'm sure her dad doesn't.

I would think that if it were a complete stranger she would have been really scared and screamed for help from dad. She probably knew the boy, and for her lying she should have some responsibility in the shooting. It's just my opinion, but I think she's a HOE!

Seriously? The reporter wasn't there. That's the way recounts are written by news agency for liability reasons. You'd rather them report something like this as definitive facts? I can't believe this is really a discussion. :tsk:

Wait, so at first you're telling me I'm wrong for assuming some things didn't happen if they weren't in the report, and NOW you're telling me I'm wrong for assuming some things did happen because they ARE in the report? :noidea:

Huh? I'm saying the discussion is about the report as written. We can either 1) assume it's true until it's reported otherwise and comment or 2) make up infinite scenarios about what we think/want/wish to be true. I've been trying to stick to option 1.

There's no grey IF the account is accurate. The daughter said she didn't know him so a 'stranger' is in your daughter's bedroom at night and you tell him not to move and he reaches for something? Dead stranger everytime. Like I said, IF that is an accurate account.

Exactly.

The birth of my daughter was the reason I bought my first gun

So then why did you dismiss my post which is quoted straight from the excerpt you provided?

"He reportedly found his daughter in bed with the teen"

"His daughter reportedly told her father...that the two were not in bed."

Gee, why would he assume she was lying

Do we only assume certain parts of the report are true if they fit our stance?

I'll wait.
