He didn't move towards the shooter or the daughter is my guess. If he really moved at all, he was probably trying to cover his johnson. Was a weapon presented? Was a weapon present in the bedroom, other than the father's? You have no proof whatsoever that he actually moved. And considering that he was having sex I would think it's safe to assume he was naked when the dad burst in. How exactly is he going to conceal a weapon?
Pick it up off the bed. There is also no proof he didn't move, but that's for the investigation to determine and has nothing to do with a discussion of whether this was a good shoot based on the way it was presented in the OP.

No sane man is looking at his daughter. They are focused on the threat.

I'm sorry if you've failed to raise your daughter into a respectable lady but there's no sense in taking it out on her conquests.

There is also no evidence that the father killed this guy because he didn't like his daughter's boyfriend.
