I recently was in a situation where I admired a gun in someone’s holster. They took it out of the holster and gave it to me just as they had been carrying it. What is the proper etiquette for handling this situation? Obviously in most circumstances you would drop the mag and verify an empty chamber before handling the gun, but do you unload another guy’s firearm that he obviously wants loaded?

I would have shot him in the elbow if he handed me a loaded weapon.
He was just looking for a second set of prints....
Thats right. It was a throw down not his EDC. Lol
clearing the weapon to admire it is just the smart thing to do. If i don't mind letting you fingerbang my EDC its probably safe to say i don't mind you unloading it before you do.

I'm okay with a loaded weapon bc the MOST DANGEROUS weapon is a UNLOADED weapon...if you shoot yourself in the foot reholstering...well.

Dropped mag and cleared one, one time, cause my daughter wanted to look at it. Dropped my Friends $4 bullet in my truck and thought I was gonna have to take the seat out to find it LOL . He was a forgiving Fella though haha
