First Tractor

2 years ago I bought a new Kubota compact. Couldn’t be happier. The hydro trans is great. Do yourself a favor and spring for the quick connect. You may not think you need it but as you get older you will be glad you have it. Bush hog and Landpride both make good quality implements.

Congratulations. A real back saver. Pass on the chipper just have a debris pile/shooting back stop. Never ever have passengers when running the pto unless you don’t care for them. Wear seat belt as you have a ROPS. Enjoy, 8 powered by a long 680.

Seat belts? Lol

I've got a fence line that needs mulch. I figure the three scenarios are have bulk mulch delivered, buy a chipper and chip our own mulch as needed, or store a pile of small brush and rent a chipper when the mulch needs to be refreshed.

Another awesome thing is the grapple but $$$
Planning to get the grapple as soon as funds are available. Moving brush and trees/logs is a large part of why I bought this thing. The tractor comes with the third function handle factory now, so I just need to add the valve and it's all ready to go.

I saw that. Buy the kit and do it yourself. YouTube is your friend. :becky:

Been thinking about the pallet forks though so far not a big need.
Forks have turned into my most used attachment. Was going to get a grapple and John Deere told me forks might work better. Never got the grapple.

Does anyone own a three point chipper for their tractor? For $3,000 it seems like something I may just stick with renting from Home Depot once or twice instead of owning that particular implement.
I picked up one at an auction and it doesn't have a powerfeed. It might work well with powerfeed. I need it for pecan limbs but it's pretty much useless for that. Notice the limb in your pic, pretty straight, limbs that branch a lot just wont got through the feed door. Pine or something that's pretty straight feed just fine. So depending on what your going to feed it......... personally I'd probably wait and buy a large powered unit if I had to do it again.
