Flying to California-bring gun?

I am in LA proper 1-2x month, have lived there before. I would not risk it, they have zero sense of tolerance around guns. LA county DA and Sand Diego have both fought concealed carry tooth and nail.

simple answer: NO

If you are going hiking, I would buy some pepper spray when I got there for protection. Just before leaving Commifornia find a Democrat and empty the canister.

California does not recognize a Georgia carry permit.
Which means you would be carrying illegally as far as they are concerned.
About the only place you could have it would be in your car (not sure of the stipulations for that) or hotel room.
Best to leave it at home.

I wouldn't pizza on California if it was on fire. ..again. and I dam sure wouldn't waste good money supporting it.

NO NO NO....
I grew up and lived in California for many years.
YOU CANNOT legally carry a gun in parks or anywhere else.

Just make a simple phone call to the area where you will be hiking and ask them. I guarantee they will absolutely say NO.

Nice place to visit, but don't live there.

You may want to purchase BEAR spray once you are there and use that for defense on 2/4 legged critters. just saying.

Call the guys at Glock's GSSF. They go there all the time.

I wonder what the laws are concerning black powder in California? An 1851 Colt Navy might do the trick in a pinch.
