Well this engine has less than 50,000 miles on it but it's still 12 years old(cracking plastic). I pulled the valve cover and there was a broken piece inside. The part of the valve cover where the PCV plugs in has a guard to keep oil from splashing up into the pcv. This piece was broken off. I'm trying to find another valve cover at the moment without going to Ford! but just in case I need a temporary backup... I degreased it, scored it up, and JB Welded it. Our backup transportation isn't much of backup, I'm going to get very wet today driving my 41 year old jeep while the vic is broke lol.
