I have heard anecdotally that the ecoboost engines have issues (later models) but I'm no mechanic.

I haven't put 5k miles on it in the last 3 years, I DD that red jeep in the avatar and this only gets driven out west huntin.

Yep. After a certain year. I don't know exactly. You have to remove the cab to work on the engine

Avoid the 6.0
They are a disaster
Avoid the ecoboost. They may turn out like the 6.0

I'd reccomend test driving a 2nd gen Tundra crewmax

The rear seat has more room than the front seat. The rear doors are 48" long ant open almost 90 degrees

The 5.7 makes 400HP. Mine gets 14.5 city 19.5 on the interstate

The 6.4s are not any better than the 6.0s. Might be worse. The company I work for had(past tense) 3 of them. Neither made it past 100k before they were sold. And the trucks were not abused and were maintained very well. They were 550s and all were "little" bucket trucks, so we made sure not to dog them......we aren't crazy about climbing poles these days.
