Ford Raptor - Are they really that awesome?

The auto trans in the diesel trucks were notorious for going out if they had even 100 more hp than stock. That's why I got the 5 speed.

Prados and LCs are the bees knees for overlanding. I have some plans for my truck...but ti wouldn't fit in 1/4 of the trails a Prado would.

Just wish I could find a soccer mom selling her LC with low miles for a decent price < this is the dream.

It was a Ram 1500 so no diesel. I couldnt justify a $2000 transmission when the truck was no longer valued at that. I refuse to work on transmissions or I may have done it myself.

lol...ANY truck with around 400 lb/ft of torque could do that...but ti was a masterful marketing ploy by Toyota

Long story short, I should start importing Land Cruisers from Japan and Defender 110s from Germany and France in the next year or so. I cannot wait to drive one again...

Actually, not even 400lb-ft is needed...gearing is key...even a old ranger 2.0 4x4 in low gear with a bed full of sand would pull that

I wouldn't go that far...physics still applies. 160 lb/ft 4 banger isn't enough to get it moving. Once it;s going maybe
