Fresh smoked tukey

Just finished butchering our turkey for Thanksgiving. I don't think his brothers were too impressed! Lol
I plan on smoking him with a combination of pecan and apple wood.
Might also butcher one of my smaller hens and cook her in the fryer.

Thanks! It was one of my deciding factors in raising turkeys this year.

We use the smoked turkey carcass for turkey barley soup. You can put some of the left over meat in with it too.

The soup is my favorite part of Thanksgiving.
