Frog Lube is probably coconut oil

Doesn't change anything about how it works, I just found it interesting and thought I'd share.

If you are using it and like, keep on using it. If you haven't used it before and like what you've heard about it, don't let this stop you from trying it.

No idea, as there were numerous industry folks that tested and confirmed FireClean as canola oil, all around the same time.

Nothing wrong with using canola oil as a base for a gun lube. If it works, who cares where it came from?

All these 'safe to eat' lubricants are some kind of vegetable oil. In almost every case they are re-purposed from the food-service industry. I'd always heard that FrogLube was derived from a food-safe lube used in industrial mixing machines.

As mentioned in the article, it would certainly explain why FL tends to gum-up a bit when cold.

I love people complaining about frog lube gumming up their gun. Simple case of not being able to follow directions.

Isn't there an article that compares lubes under a spectrometer or something. One well known lube was roller coaster lube that was safe if it fell onto people or into water.
Someone refresh my memory.
