Ft. Bragg missing 14k rounds of 5.56

Just saw this on CNN. I apologize if it already been brought up. I can't imagine the trouble someone will get in when the culprit(s) are found.

I wonder if it will end up being sold on the street or just in someone's stockpile.

Lol....I'd blast thru 14K rnds in a single range hop back in the day. The mini gun is a wonderful tool at wasting tax payers money!

How is that digging low? Someone jacked some ammo. What that fits into is irrelevant. 14,000 batteries could also fit in a trunk. Does that mean it isn't wrong to steal batteries?

I would think it became newsworthy to CNN because it plays into the anti-gun fears out there right now with the ATF sting that went awry... Think about it, the average non-gun person now worried that some terrorist is gonna use 14k rounds to slaughter the masses right before 9-11?

This is true. To NON shooters 14,000 rounds seem like a boat ton of ammo! To a shooter, you could go through that in a month.
