Just found this forum/classifieds. Moved here a few months ago from the northern Midwest, and always looking to make new friends, maybe find some shooting buddies, and having a good marketplace never hurts

What I find surprising is the lack of public shooting ranges like rod & gun clubs. I live in the city, so I don't have my own land to shoot on. Hence, my comment about hopefully finding some shooting buddies *wink wink*

There's a public range just north of G'ville at Wilson Shoals WMA. Only has an 85 yd max range, though.

Cherokee Gun Club a few miles south on I-985 is the club with a 3-yr wait. But the 2nd Sat of each month, they have an open 100 rd Sporting Clays match for $35(?) that includes lunch. I believe it's going to be this Saturday.
