So....while reloading enblocs for the next cmp run I noticed this. I ran out of Greek hxp in the middle of my last clip and and finished it off with some modern PPU ammo that I got on trade at the last cmp m&g.

The PPU rounds appear to have longer projectiles than the hxp. Anyone ever run across this before?

Thx man! This is out of the 500-rd bulk ammo can from cabela's......it's not out of the blue single boxes of ppu.

Left HXP right Creedmoore. The HXP measures 3.3125. It looks like the HXP you have is shorter.

Surplus is 3.18

Projectiles are:
PPU .303
Surplus. .301

I will take a look at my ammo this evening..I have some hunting rounds I would like to compare to HXP and PPU.

Amazing that there is almost 7/16" difference between min and max.

I have HXP, US made M2 Ball, Netherlands M2 Ball, some other unidentified stuff, one clip of black tip are all the same size length, or within a mil or so.

Nothing that has the size differiential you are seeing.

Those look like 8mm, not 30-06
