Generator Thread ....When the power goes out...

My Daughter just sent this earlier from Fort Drum NY where they’re stationed.
They got 4 feet already with another 60” expected.
7 feet of snow is not a fun time.
More on the way and Apparently the fort has its own power generating capabilities.
Update: Looks like only 26” expected with the additional lake effect.

I am now considering a back up wood stove. Just to have on hand .furnaces seem to be heating well, just would make me feel better.

Just got to my sisters in south Alabama and the power went out. Glad to see they left the “power box” I gave them plugged in. A couple of usb power banks and usb lights
Can’t go wrong with a honest wood stove.
I did ventless gas fireplaces upstairs and downstairs. Like the stove idea though.
Mr. Heater Big Buddy
We did back to back fireplaces when we built. One in the living room and one in the master bedroom. Both work really well. They are also big enough to cook in if needed.
I may grab one of these.
