Interesting. Of course in CA anything that isn't registered is a 'ghost gun', but I wonder if this was a Polymer80 frame.

They were registered to him, so once the cops get notified of a death they come and seize the guns right away.

Technically the widow (or widower) is supposed to have a period of time to register them over to themselves, but you hear of cops showing up within a day of someone passing all the time in CA.

I've heard that some parts of NY do teh same thing.
