Glock 42 vs copperhead

This one slid over my foot when I was spraying the brush with weed spray...

It was almost the creepiest thing that I’ve ever experienced in my life!

Geeez dude, that would keep ya on edge doing yardwork from then on.

And people wonder why carry when at home or in the yard haha. Maybe a 2 legged threat, a 4 legged threat, or...no leg threats haha

If by “freeze” you mean let out a high pitched girly scream and pass out. I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what I would have done.
Interpret freeze as you will, Voice and body frozen. Cold sweat and sigh of relief with a shot of 151 proof rum and so on. Next excursion in the garden with a 20 gauge, Feel free to add any more adjectives or descriptions.

This was May 2017 in Cherokee County, my back yard, but it's not like they leave the county every other year. They're still around, we just don't always run across them directly. .38 Special from a snubby did the trick, but it was a challenge with such a short barrel. I'd have let him go, but he had me surrounded . . . . ;-)

I got bit by an 18” copperhead at the beginning of May in Jackson county. Was walking between my house and my neighbors. Got my middle toe. Spent 3 days in the hospital 2 of them were ICU. 16 doses of anti venom = $160,000 ish.

I killed one couple months back. Little baby, less than a foot long. Wife and neighbors wonder why I walk the yard with a machete. I take no chances now.
