Glock 43 vs p365 (anyone switch?)

Make sure when you are cleaning it you don't get oil/lubricant into that striker channel. After putting mine back together my wonderful trigger pull was gritty. I had to remove the striker (which Sig doesn't want you to do) and clear out all the debris that I blew into the channel to get it cleared up. Clean it breach face down to avoid this.

Sold one and bought another with the safety. Sometimes when a manufacturer puts a safety on one of three previous models the trigger pull becomes a little harder. I can say that the trigger pull on the new one feels exactly the same

Cleaned out the striker channel and striker of factory oil and took my P365 to the range today. Put 150 rounds of Speer lawman 124gr through it in about 30 minutes. The little sucker gets warm! Haha. It had one failure to return to battery. Not sure what caused it, not terribly worried about it. Can’t wait to put more rounds through it and see if it’s carry worthy.

So on the left is my strike industries +2 baseplate for my Glock 43. It towers over a standard Glock 6 rnd mag. On the right is not a standard mag but my newest mag extension for my 43. It is also (surprisingly) a +2 baseplate by magguts. I picked up two of em. It actually makes the Glock 43 feel really good in the hand giving you just enough purchase to get a full 3 finger firing grip and the rear grip plug gives ya that contact in your bottom palm for more control of the pistol While giving ya the extra pew pew.

You really see the profile difference in these two mag extensions below. First is magguts followed by strike industries.

Notice the completely straight horizontal slide with magguts installed as opposed to the excessive high elevation of the strike industries.

Above is another example of the streamline look of the magguts +2 on the right compared to the Pearce +1 extension on the left that is taller yet offers nothing for the palm when griping the pistol. Now to function test these magguts but I have heard and read a lot of positive feedback on these. I find that I do like the larger dimensions of the Glock 43 from back to front grip circumference better than the 365 as the glock feels more “full size pistol” without being full-size if that makes sense

After much skepticism, distrust from the P320 dropgate fiasco, and mixed reviews on the internet... I purchased my very own brand new P365 last Thursday. I will make my own decisions about it and carry my Glocks in the meantime. I did get rid of my 43 to try this out. I also bought a 48 too.

So what do ya think so far about it? Miss the 43?

I saw something a while back about a new p365 that was in the works. if the new p365 longer slide fits on the current production frame, consider me SOLD

I've been looking for a reasonably priced G48 slide to drop on G43 lower, but had no luck. I have a thing for long slides and compact grips.

P365 XL half inch longer slide, 12 rods mag standard, factory cut for optic. Should be in some gun stores this month. The frame butt is a little longer
