We are discussing the M&P, not the rifles.
Hate to break it to ya, but quality, and durability are only a couple factors in deciding on which firearm to issue a a duty weapon. We can look at how many agencies, and local pd's use which guns all day, but it boils down to which manufacturer is willing to bid the lowest. I'm sure a fair amount of desperation has set in among manufacturers not named Glock, because of Glock's dominance in that market.
Don't you have a lawn to mow or something?
Watch out for this guy around town...he'll be the one with the "Have you mated with your M&P today" bumper sticker. The car will probably be parked inconspicuously in the rear of a Walmart parking lot and sport heavily tinted windows.
