Going to wade in and try Glock and RDS again - any red dot recommendations?

Picked up a G19 Gen 5 MOS. I have always admired Glock but never shot them well and never cared to spend the time to overcome that. I want to really focus on shooting this thing with a red dot, which I have never cared for. So I am going to revisit all this and try to make it work out for me this time. I'm looking for input on the RDS specifically. I think I want to stay away from Holosun as they seem to be very Chinee oriented - but if thats the best optic to run on this pistol then I am willing to go that route. I think I like the EOTECH EFLX and the Trijicon stuff but really dont want to overspend on something I may not end up keeping long. But, I'd rather spend more now for a quality setup than go cheap and hate it from the start. Also, is the Glock MOS plate system adequate or is that something else that needs to be addressed?

*Treat me like I am 5 yrs old if you have any suggestions or comments, because I am really out of my element when it comes to optics on a handgun. Don't assume I know anything about any of this. I probably don't!

Trade the Glock 19 and get you a Glock 40 MOS 10mm.

I want to be able to practice - a lot. I can't afford to feed that thing enough to get better!
I have 1000's of rounds of 9mm ammo and the only 10mm I have is made by Craftsman.

I have never cared for Gin, I'm not going to try and force myself to drink it, too many other options. Another, more relevant analogy, I always wanted to love a Colt Python and Anaconda... I have had both several times over and always prefer the S&W 686 and model 29.

Ah I see. I never fire my guns with the exception of sighting in scopes so just ignore me. I just like to have em in case I need them.

Get a FCD optic plate. Probably the best one out there.
If you are ever near gainesville and want some tips on learning a dot. Let me know
