Damn, you might want to let him know - just in case he merely didn't want you to be worried.
If he does not know, he needs to think about moving east for a few days.
I'm sure he'll be fine as long as he stays in town and doesn't decide to go on any outdoor adventures. He might want to move to a higher floor. Keep us posted.
