Was doing a job in Brunswick years back and always had to stop when headed home by a fried chicken place in Hazlehurst ..best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Smiths Fried Chicken..they called the breast a different name…can’t remember but it was the best
Seriously? I mean I assume you're right. I've made that drive along 341 more times than I can remember especially during hurricane season. But I just didn't remember Lumber City being anything but a caution light speed trap.
We got gator tail at a place in the Brunswick Mall parking lot. They had live gators in a pool area out front with a bridge/walkway across it. It was called the Copper Pig. They went under while we lived in the area. Mostly because everything else they served sucked ass.
That's my last name, should be easy to remember! If I ever get stood up again...errr, if I'm ever that way again, I'm going!
Likewise if you're ever in Little Rock, AR, go to The Chicken Shack. Thursday they have chicken and dumplings. And go to Cotham's and get a Hubcap Burger and their onion rings. Burgers big around as your plate and onion rings the same.
