Got got today

So for the 1st time in 14 years, I got got today. Ya know what? I ain't even mad.

Drove almost 3 hours for a meet and got ghosted. He played me well, even emailing me and asking "How much further out are you, etc." Yeah 1st red flag was he didn't give me his cell phone number, but he gave me his work number that I suppose was a landline. No cell phone--Enough red flags to make me think something might be up, but I just assumed I was working with someone older and not internet literate. That's what I get for trying to buy something off GON.

But even on 75% positive feeling, I figured worst case scenario we make a road trip out of it and drive another 45 minutes to the coast and eat at a restaurant I've been wanting to go back to for more than a decade. Hell, it took almost that long for me to find it online...Ever try and Google a restaurant when you don't know the name or what town you stopped in to eat??? And...Aha! Been a great road trip so far when I would have wasted time around the house. No complaints!

Virtually nothing between Savanna and Macon. And, since it was on a Sunday, literally nothing open.
Including gas stations.

Speaking of, read in the local fishwrapper that our hard-working lawmakers have named Brunswick Stew the official stew of Georgia. Makes a feller proud.
